I read the book "Empty Planet" last week but never had chance to write this blog and share my experience.
* Book is challenging conventional thinking that population of the world will hit around 11 billion before stabilizing or making a turn downward turn. It will reach at 9 billion and will stabilize lot earlier than expected before.
* China is going to lose a big chunk of population by the end of the century.
* India and Brazil is already at the replacement level or below.
* US will keep growing due to its favorable immigration policies.
* Canada will keep doing the same.
* Population growth in Africa will be lesser than previously expected, even the speed of growth will also be slower.
* Earth will face far lesser pressure in coming years than expected.
and many many more interesting points.
The world will be a better place.... we all hope!!!
